Charges for use of Vertical Chill at The North Face Manchester Store:

We offer a number of different sessions, these include;

Learn to Ice Climb [£40] lessons are available with a qualified guide;
Climb & Hire [£30] - for experienced climbers, includes equipment & supervision.
Turn Up and Climb [£20] - for experienced climbers, includes supervision/belaying - but no equipment.

We can offer other sessions such as Corporate, Youth - or sessions catering for the advanced climber. Ring us to discuss what we can offer.

The best way to book a session is to contact the store directly by phone on 0161 837 6140 and speak with a member of our staff. All sessions last one hour to ensure you get a full hours climbing please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your allotted time.

Sun: 11.30 – 16.30

What’s provided?
If you borrow our equipment you will be provided with The North Face clothing, axes, crampons, harnesses, helmets, and gloves. You may wish to bring a change of T-shirt and socks to change into afterwards.

You may bring your own equipment if you wish. Crampons must be suitable for climbing and not walking. Boots must be B3 mountaineering boots. Both axes and crampons should be suitably sharp and may be refused if not. Clothing should be suitable for ice climbing in temperatures of –10°C.
